yesterday...

Yesterday it snowed for about twelve straight hours, giving us around two inches of snow on the ground...and it's still there today! This is pretty unusual for our small, seaside town, or so we're told. (Everyone is always trying to convince us the weather is nice here, even when it is freezing and hailing, or when it rains for a month straight without stopping.) Luckily my husband's bus was running so he could go off to work today. As much as he'd like a day off, he can't miss too many days.

So we had a cozy Sunday, with just one hour of church, and then a long, lazy afternoon in front of a fire, watching the snow fall. We talked about men's shoes, immigration, weddings, and babies with our friends. And how it's supposed to keep on snowing all week... I hope that's true! I love how soft and quiet everything looks when it is covered in snow. I couldn't resist taking a few pictures with my phone as I walked to church yesterday, so here's what our Sunday morning looked like:

  1. I'm a little jealous, we rarely get snow here in Ga...especially the kind that actually sticks! Stopping by from Aloha Friday and I am now your newest follower. I look forward to a long blog relationship with you and can't wait to see what you come up with next!
