boston.

Boston is my hometown, the place I was born and raised, where so many friends and family live and work, too. It always feels like home, catching glimpses of the streets and buildings that I know so well. And the Boston Marathon is a staple, an event so many people I know participate in -- watching, running, volunteering. And I am so proud of them. Yesterday was scary. And the more I read, the more horrible I feel.

I hope everyone affected by yesterday's tragedy knows we are thinking of and praying for them.

For some bright spots and beautiful examples of humanity, see this article.
