(almost) wordless wednesday

This morning, life went back to normal. Well, sort of. Instead of classes, my husband has work placement for the next seven weeks, so today he was up at 7 am to catch the bus. 7 am in Britain feels pretty early. Everything is dark and empty. So after he caught the bus, I went for a walk and took some pictures of the sunrise and life starting up in our little town.

All the pictures are from my phone, since that's what I had with me. And it's hard to see, but there's a rainbow in the first one. So there we are...by 8 am, the sun is up, stores start to open, and the town looks alive. But I love that quiet hour that comes before then, when it feels like I have the place to myself.
