april!

Today was the first day that felt even remotely like spring, and it was glorious. Sunny days really are the best. And sunny days that aren't too hot are just perfect.

Also, it's suddenly April. And I'm proud of myself, because I actually did accomplish the goals i set myself for March, because I'm awesome. So...

1. I learned to make bread. Delicious bread. I'm going to need to keep practicing, but it's much less daunting than it used to be.

2. I donated my hair. And it felt good. Seriously, for donate your hair! You won't regret it! Also, I love my short hair. Love it. Enough to motivate me to get more regular haircuts from now on? I hope so.

3. I read some nonfiction. The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin motivating and interesting, read this! The Ten Most Beautiful Experiments by George Johnson, forced on me by my husband. I a,m bad at science. But this book is easy to understand, even for non-science people like me. And finally, I read 1599 by James Shapiro, because he is the best and I am obsessed with Shakespeare. Ha. But really, I missed Shakespeare a bit (I did an MA focused entirely on Shakespeare), and this was a great book by one of my favorite critics on one of my favorite subjects.

I'm so excites for more spring weather. And I'm enjoying this nonfiction reading, too... Any recommendations?

  2. Making bread is fun!!!

You donated hair? That's awesome because it takes a good amount of hair to be eligible for donation. I bet your new shorter do is so freeing and easy to do every day!

    Happy Spring!
