early morning

The other day, I was down by the seaside early in the morning, while everything was covered in fog.  You could barely see the white cliffs that are always there at one end of the seafront, and out in the water were two sailboats that looked like ghost ships, because they kept slipping in and out of the fog.  I don't handle hot weather all that well, so I've been pretty happy with the recent bout of chilly, rainy days we've had here.  I'll miss this kind of weather if we ever move.

In that last picture, I was trying to take pictures of the sailboats.  Clearly it didn't work too well, but they were really there, and maybe you can see them very faintly.
