it's finally fall

 via

I know it's technically been fall for a few weeks now, and I know that every single person out there is also obsessed with this season, but I don't care.  It finally feels like fall, it's finally October, and I am so happy.  Where I live, we don't really get 'real' fall though... not a lot of colorful leaves, for example.  Since I'm from Boston, it's hard to have fall without leaves.  I still love the colder weather and crisp feel to the air.

This weekend was basically perfect.  I turned 25 and felt really old, but mostly I still feel like myself so I guess 25 won't be too bad.  In fact, it's sort of a nice age.  Even if in five years I'll be 30.  I watched General Conference with my husband on Saturday and ate Indian food.  On Sunday, we visited friends and watched more conference, with plenty of cake.  I loved so many of the talks and feel so peaceful and happy.  I look forward to this weekend every year (sleeping in, awesome talks) and it never disappoints.  Plus, there was still time for long walks and cake baking and getting presents.  (Books and chocolate, my favorite things.)  And now I have my favorite time of year ahead of me.  It seems like all the best things happen between now and December.  I can't wait.

  2. I freaked out at 25, but now I'm going for 27 on Wednesday and feel great about it--it's a good time in life. That photo is so beautiful and makes me homesick for fall!
