two months

Another month! I didn't realize how quickly they would go. Oliver is two months old today and it really feels like he was just born (although I guess in the grand scheme of things... he was just born). Month two has brought lots of smiles and cooing sounds. He loves being held so that he can look around, especially held over your shoulder. He's a great eater and also spits up profusely. It doesn't bother him at all, though, so we don't mind. He loved baths and will sit and splash happily in the water. He is losing his hair and has had cradle cap and some baby acne, but that is clearing up a little. He has outgrown his newborn sizes and is firmly in 0-3 month clothes. His cheeks are squishy and adorable and I love cuddling him.  He is happiest when eating, taking a bath, or getting rides somewhere.  He doesn't care if he's in the stroller, his car seat, or our baby carrier - as long as he is moving, he's happy.

So that is where we are, two months into life with Oliver. He sometimes gives us a four or five hour stretch of sleep at night, but mostly he still wakes up to eat every two to three hours. He loves car rides and going on walks and staring at lights or blank walls. He gives us big smiles when we stroke his cheeks or tickle his feet or coo at him. He is so sweet and serious and easy going, and I love spending my days with him. I can't wait to see what the coming months bring because so far it just gets better and better.
