life lately
Yesterday, for our family home evening, we met some friends by the seaside for ice cream. It was delicious. We met at this ice cream parlor Sam and I noticed when we first moved here. It's on the opposite side of town from everything we ever do, so we're never over there anymore, which meant that we spent our walk there reminiscing about the day we moved here. It was pretty horrific, actually; we're terrible at moving. But despite the heat and heavy suitcases and hotel that was as far away from the train station as possible, it was kind-of a fun day. It feels like so long ago, though.
Anyway, the ice cream really was delicious (and they make it themselves) and then we had a nice walk along the seafront. The sea was so beautiful, and the temperature was perfect. Maybe we'll make it a weekly event.
Sam finished his first week of classes. It's pretty weird that he's almost done with his first year, now. It's gone by so quickly. I'm really looking forward to the rest of this summer.
